OBMC Joined Forces with PCG and Philippine Marines For Better Marine Life

O.B. Montessori Center joined hands with environmental warriors in the launching of a Build-A-Reef for Future Generations program. This took place last September 12, 2023, at the Marine Base Gregorio Lim in Ternate, Cavite. The program is a joint undertaking with the Philippine Marines, the Philippine Coast Guard, PCG Auxiliary, ICC Philippines, UST ROTC Alumni Association, Rotary Club of Marikina North, and the LGU of Cavite.

The initial project was the installation of artificial reefs to provide a sanctuary for marine life and encourage the growth of corals.

O.B. Montessori Center has reiterated its commitment to environmental protection and awareness through active participation, exposure, and support of sustainable programs.

Team OBMC was composed of the following representatives: Auxiliary Rear Admiral Jomar de la Peña, Operation Brotherhood Community Foundation Director Beverly Ciencia, Las Piñas Campus Manager Nida Indiongco, and faculty members from the five OBMC campuses Mr. Jayson Sahagun, Mr. Jaw Calixihan, Mr. Charles Castano, Mr. Regie Canlas, and Mr. Randy Santos.
